Starry Night

In He Puna Kawenga we had to do starry night art created by Vincent Van Gogh we also filled in a reflection sheet here it is enjoy.

Your assignment was to create a painting based on Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night.

What medium did you use to create your artwork? (Pastels, Paint e.t.c)
Paint

List the steps you went through from start to finish
  1. First we made yellow dots with a little bit of yellow paint that is supposed to be stars.
  2. Then we painted it dark blue and light blue to look like the night sky then we let it dry. After when it’s dry we put a little bit of purple paint at the bottom of the blue painting.
  3. After painting the purple paint at the end of the blue paint and letting it dry we went over it until we can’t see the white paper under the blue and purple paint.
  4. Then we painted hills with dark green and light green paint and made it look like real hills and kept on painting until we can’t see the purple and white.
5)Then when the paint is dry you paint a cypress tree on top of the hills and keep on going over it until you can’t see the green paint and the blue sky and that is how you paint a starry night art.

What did you learn from creating this piece of art?
That I could  paint a cypress tree.

What was the best thing about creating this piece of art?
Painting the cypress tree.

If you were to do this piece of art again, what would you do differently?

I would paint more cypress trees on the painting.

I like your starry night painting because its looks dark like the night. Your painting looks colorful even if its dark!

Your starry night artwork looks so cool. It looks just like it was night time in your painting but its not its just a painting. You really aimed high to make it.
